2019 – Region 2

2019 Region 2 Competition

Mon May 20 – Sat May 25
(Practice Day Sun May 19)

Mifflin County Airport, Reedsville, PA

Mifflin Soaring Association is looking forward to hosting the 2019 Region 2 contest!

Come join us in the “Big Valley” of Central Pennsylvania for a week of good flying, good food, and good friends.

Entry fee: $420. A $150 deposit – payable to “Mifflin Soaring Association” – is required with your application to hold an entry position. The entry fee includes 4 non-refundable tows.

Online Registration
Entry List

Max 35 contestants.

Preferential entry deadline: March 21, 2019.

Guests are welcome as space allows.  No deposit required.  A daily pro-rated fee is applied.  If you are interested in flying as a full- or part-time guest, please contact the Contest Manager no later than April 30, 2019.

Either a glider mounted ELT (121.5 MHz or 406 MHz) or GPS tracking device (SPOT, Inreach etc.) is required. A PLB (personal locator beacon) is not a substitute for an ELT and/or SPOT. Both the SPOT and the recently devalued 121.5 MHz ELT system offer a chance for location of an incapacitated pilot, while the PLB does not.

FLARM is recommended but not required. To rent a FLARM unit, contact Williams Soaring.

This will be a no-ballast contest.
